8.04 - 10.04.22 Project Space, ARS Art Factory, Tallinn
19.04 - 29.04.22 Garden Room, Kämp Galleria, Helsinki
Ongoing collaborative project 'Goods and Services’ explores ways of bridging the gap between clothing production and consumption, through practice.
A 20 metre long digitally printed piece of fabric was created, comprising of several hundred fragmented scans from library books found in Tallinn and Helsinki. During the first part of the event at ARS Arts Factory in Tallinn, a collection of t-shirt parts was cut from the fabric. These ‘Knowledge Shirts’ were available for purchase as the event continued at Kämp Garden in Helsinki, with visitors choosing which front, back, and sleeve pieces they would like to have, according to the print. Long and short sleeved versions were available, in one unisex size. The shirts were sewn on-site and exhibited upon completion.
